Courses & Quizzes

How lessons, scenarios, quizzes, and completion work.

1. Types of lesson

Each course is made up of one or more lesson types:

  • Slides — narrated or text-based slide decks. Read through all slides and click "Mark as complete" to progress.
  • Scenarios — branching case studies where you make compliance decisions. All branches must be explored to mark complete.
  • Resources — downloadable reference material (PDFs, templates). These are optional and do not block progress.
  • Final Quiz — unlocks after all lessons in a module are complete.

2. How progress is tracked

Progress is saved automatically as you complete each lesson. On your dashboard and course page, you'll see:

  • A progress bar showing how much of the course you've completed
  • Green checkmarks on completed lessons
  • A lock icon on lessons that require earlier lessons to be finished first
💡 Tip: If your progress appears to have reset, try clearing your browser cache and signing back in. Your progress is stored server-side and won't be lost.

3. Quiz rules and passing scores

  • Each quiz has 10–15 multiple-choice questions
  • The passing score is 80%
  • Questions are drawn from the full question bank — you may see different questions each attempt
  • There is no time limit on quizzes
  • You cannot go back to change an answer once submitted
⚠️ Note: The quiz is only available after all lessons in the module are marked complete. The "Take Quiz" button will remain greyed out until then.

4. Retaking a quiz

If you score below 80%, you can retake the quiz immediately. There is no limit on retakes. Each attempt uses a fresh randomised set of questions.

Your best score is used for certification purposes.

5. Completing a course

A course is considered complete when you:

  1. Finish all lessons (slides + scenarios)
  2. Pass the final quiz with 80% or higher

On completion, your certificate is generated automatically and appears in My Certificates. You'll also receive a confirmation email with your certificate attached as a PDF.
